Expected launch: Summer/Fall 2026
The Civic Ambassador Program
The Civic Ambassador Program will bring together 50 ambitious high school and college students from across communities to lead civic work in their schools and local institutions. As an Ambassador, you will engage in a student-centered journey defined by rigorous training, nonpartisan civic learning, and high-impact real-world projects with community partners. This is not just a learning opportunity; it is a laboratory for institutional change and localized leadership development. Unlike other Compass programs, this program is not restricted to United States-based applicants; anyone worldwide may apply.
What Ambassadors Do
- Lead dynamic civic learning sessions for peers and community members.
- Organize and execute school- or campus-based impact projects.
- Meet regularly with local leaders to bridge the gap between policy and youth vision.
- Support and mentor younger students entering the civic space.
Program Structure
The program follows a cohort-based model rooted in collaboration. Over the course of the year, participants will engage in a mix of high-impact virtual workshops and intentional in-person sessions. Each Ambassador is paired with professional mentorship to navigate their leadership journey, culminating in a signature capstone project that addresses a critical community need.
Who Should Apply
We are seeking motivated high school and college students who are curious about policy, organizing, and community change. We specifically welcome those who are new to civic work and eager to find their voice. If you believe your community can be better and want the tools to make it happen, this program is for you.
Through the Civic Ambassador Program, we are building a lasting network of young leaders committed to the Compass Civics mission of transforming our democratic institutions from the ground up.
